Malouf Furniture & Design is a family-owned and operated company that first opened its doors in Greenwood, MS in 1946, and has been a member of the Rowe family of retailers for 15 years. Based on the concept of “beautiful furniture at a fair price,” the shop now occupies two locations including a 90,000 square foot showroom in Foley, AL, and includes a furniture design center, rug and mattress gallery, art & accessories and of course, our Rowe custom furnishings.

Supporting small for us means supporting the businesses in the Foley/Gulf Shores area. We are huge believers in supporting other locally owned shops, and have actually partnered with some before to raise brand awareness for both parties. By having other local companies infused into your promotions, it makes it easier to have your customers shop local. We offer local beer to enjoy while you shop in house and are going to be incorporating local soda for the kids as well.

What makes your shop unique?

We have a fairly large showroom at just over 60,000 square feet, but walking through it isn’t an overwhelming feeling. We are lucky to have quite an expansive staff walking the floor at all times, so you never get that feeling of being lost in a sea of furniture. We have all of the benefits of an intimate environment without sacrificing storefront space.

How does your shop make customers feel?

We try to create a casual comfort in our store that makes our designers and customers feel at home. We find that this makes the communication and shopping experience more comfortable, and makes it easier for the customer to imagine what it would really be like to live with our pieces rather than just seeing them all displayed in a line. We offer complimentary refreshments, appointments with specific designers, or just walk-ins so that no matter the customer, we can find a process that makes their experience shopping with Malouf an enjoyable one.
