Husband and wife team Mary Liz Curtin and Stephen Scannell opened Leon & Lulu in Clawson, Michigan in 2006, rehabbing the historic, 15,000 square foot Ambassador Roller Rink to create a unique destination for shoppers. A member of the Rowe family of retailers since 2005 , the shop offers furniture, antiques, clothing, gifts, books, games and gourmet food in the eclectic and charming former roller rink. Leon & Lulu is serious about exceptional design, fabulous service and fun – but has a sense of humor about everything else.

What makes your shop unique?

Leon & Lulu is 15,000 square feet of shopping fun located in a vintage roller skating rink, with prices ranging from 75 cents to "Holy smokes…that's expensive!". We carry women's clothing, gifts and books as well as furniture and home accents. Our restaurant, Three Cats, and our greeting card shop are next door in a movie theater built in 1941. Leon & Lulu and Three Cats are an experience unlike any other.

How does your shop make customers feel?

We want every shopper to leave with a smile, whether they have a bag in their hand or not. Our number one goal is to make our customers feel happy and special with friendly staff, upbeat music and unique gifts.
