A member of the Rowe family of retailers since opening in 2018, the brick & mortar shop also offers in-house, bespoke interior design services provided by Shelly Van Rozenboom (a designer with 20 years of experience) and her Van Rozeboom Interiors team. COVE is the perfect place to shop, whether it’s to search for the perfect gift or to custom design a home from top to bottom.

We are doing quick one-hour consults where we help you pull together a room with items that you already own. Basically, we shop your home and can help style, hang art and completely transform a room. We also give the client a shopping list of items to pull together the space if they are looking for a little more.

What makes your shop unique?

We’re a small team and we are constantly hustling! The store manager Jen is the friendliest, happiest human being you’ll ever meet. And Kennedy is the stylish girlfriend you want helping you redecorate your living room...we’re a great trio! We can help you pick out a lovely gift for a friend or help you completely remodel your bathroom or kitchen. Whatever our customers are looking for, if we don’t have it in the store, we love hunting down exactly what they are wanting!

How does your shop make customers feel?

Our goal at COVE is to make our customers feel like they are our friends! We love seeing our loyal customers and hearing how they are doing. We love meeting tourists and tuning them into all the great things here on the Central Coast. We tend to be a little boho, slightly preppy and always coastal!

What's on your store playlist?

As a former aspiring radio DJ, music is SUPER important at COVE! Our rotating coastal inspired playlist includes Donovan Frankenreiter, Electric Guest, The Lagoons, Vampire Weekend, Bill Withers, Jimmy Cliff and Jack Johnson….always.

What are you looking forward to showcasing next season?

We are super excited about the new Boden Sofa and our new vintage hemp pillows. It looks SO cozy with all the new Pom Pom throws we got in! Throw in one of our new Linnea’s Lights candles and seriously, you have the perfect winter family room!

Who’s your celebrity dream customer?

Not sure if he’s a total celebrity, but I am CRUSHING on the show Somebody Feed Phil on Netflix! Phil Rosenthal’s personality is infectious, and during this yuck that is 2020, his show has been bringing us so much happiness.
