FINE House & Garden is an Elizabethtown, KY-area storefront that represents a lifelong dream for owner & entrepreneur Ange Deaton. FINE has been a member of the Rowe family of retailers since their opening in June of 2018, after an initial year of renovations, purchasing trips, and a few early-bird custom orders. They are proud to showcase a collection of home accessories, gifts, and fine home furnishings including many Rowe custom options.

Because our selling platform has gone virtual in many ways, we love when our followers continue to engage with our social media. It keeps us visible in their feeds, and it helps us reach new faces, too.

What makes your shop unique?

Our original building had taken on many forms over several decades before sitting abandoned for years, and we love the hands-on role we played in its renovation. Our location has made a new landmark out of an old corner, helping introduce our modern, traditional, and collected style to our local following.

How does your shop make customers feel?

We enjoy seeing how many of our customers use our shop as a community space. Some stop by to enjoy their coffee with friends, others use it as a local getaway, and new customers are always pleasantly surprised by how much we can offer in a small space and for every budget.

What's on your store playlist?

Our regular blend of Miles Davis, John Mayer, Norah Jones, and the jazz-meets-rock spectrum in between. The sounds (and scents) are as much a part of our store as the product.

What are you looking forward to showcasing next season?

As much as we love our earth tones, we’re experimenting with some color in a way that’ll provide some comfort in the newfound sanctuaries our homes have become.

Who’s your celebrity dream customer?

Kathleen Kelly, Meg Ryan’s role as the intelligent and humble bookshop owner in "You’ve Got Mail." We know she’d see the value of family in owning a small business!
