House Sprucing is a Dallas-based full service design firm (opened in 2017), and a member of the Rowe family of retailers since opening their storefront in June of 2019. Their shop functions as a retail store, design showroom, and classroom space all in one. House Sprucing’s signature style is a “New Traditional” look that blends timeless spaces with a touch of modern, resulting in spaces that never go out of style.

We greatly appreciate the support of our customers! While projects may not be in full regular force right now, we ARE designing. We can still source, scour, search, and create. Don’t hesitate to reach out and pull us in your project early, so when things do take off we are already ahead. We prefer to be proactive anyways, rather than reactive, so if you’re planning a project for the fall now is a great time to get started. Most of all, THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING SMALL!

What makes your shop unique?

Our style is unique to our area. It's hard to find a classic but modern vibe here without going to one extreme or the other. We like to think we’re the happy medium that people have been looking for.

How does your shop make customers feel?

Our shop feels upbeat and fresh. Most people walk in and tell us they just want to start smiling right when they walk in!

What's on your store playlist?

Our playlist is full of country, pop, and Christian all mixed together.

What are you looking forward to showcasing next season?

We love our furniture so much. We use Rowe in every project, and never have to worry about quality, consistency, and timeliness. We are excited to show off our new sofa in our Kid Proof fabrics! We LOVE to do demonstrations for clients — it never gets old!

Who’s your celebrity dream customer?

I don’t necessarily have a favorite celeb, but Catherine Lowe is a Dallas girl, so she would be a fun one to work with. Plus she just had a baby, so cuddling a baby might be involved, and that’s always a bonus!

Family! I am also a mother of 5 kids, so when not working, I’m crazy with that! Alyssa is my better half; without her it wouldn’t be possible. She is our rendering queen, amazing designer, and helps keep me organized — and she’s the cutest dog mama you ever did see! Becca is our install/stylist extraordinaire and my sister in law. She also has 4 kids, so between the two of us we have 9 hooligans running around!
