Kudzu and Company is a Georgia-based family-owned business, run by a crew of designing women who love creating inviting and meaningful spaces for their customers. The original Kudzu Antiques + Modern location opened in 1979 in Decatur with a sister store in Sandy Springs, and has been a member of the Rowe family of retailers since 2009. Additionally, the Atlanta location of Kudzu and Company has carried Rowe since their opening in 2012. The shop prides themselves on having a friendly and welcoming staff that is always eager to assist their customers. Kudzu and Company serves both designers and homeowners, who can count on them for excellent service, great products, and inspiration that changes daily!

Our store is known locally for having a great selection of upholstery, beautiful pillows, curated European antiques, amazing lighting and artwork, as well as contemporary classic furnishings. What makes your shop unique?

We have items in our store that you truly can't find anywhere else in town. Our owners select the antiques themselves in Europe, and are always looking for beautiful accent pieces. Our buyers hunt for unique artisan items that complement our selection of custom upholstery. In addition to custom upholstery, we sell artwork, accessories, textiles, occasional furniture, dining tables, antiques, lighting, gifts, jewelry, clothing for women and children, and seasonal items.

What's on your store playlist?

We often get compliments on our playlist. We like to think that our theme song is "Where Everybody Knows Your Name"! We play melodies ranging from favorite oldies to modern musicals and independent artists.

How does your shop make customers feel?

The overall vibe/aesthetic of our store is a welcoming blend of new pieces and antiques, mixing traditional and modern, the rough hewn with the sleek. Our store has a warm ambiance and is set up with a large showroom complemented by cozier spaces that showcase different looks and collections.

Who’s your celebrity dream customer?

If we could have a celebrity designer walk into our store, we'd love to welcome Nathan Turner or Brooke Giannetti!

What are you looking forward to showcasing next season?

The Robin Bruce line has been especially popular, namely the Kara swivels and the Bristol and Sylvie sofas. We love that we can help customers feel confident to move forward with light neutrals with the great selection of Kid-Proof fabrics, and there are just as many ways to go bold with Rowe's extensive swatch library.
