Texture Home is a Johnson City, TN-based boutique home furnishings store. Founded in 2019 by Nicole Teal as a home staging company, the shop has grown into a stunning showroom full of stylish furniture and decor, and has been a proud member of the Rowe family of retailers since 2023. Nicole uses her design and styling expertise to transform houses into havens, with an emphasis on choosing beautiful furnishings that inspire. Texture Home places a high value on family, operating with a small team that often includes Nicole’s mother, and allowing this mom of six to balance living her design dream with spending time with her husband and children.

What makes your shop unique?

We offer a lot of custom options. We want our customers to be able to curate a home that tells their story and not be generic. We have customizable oushak and natural fiber rugs, chairs, sofas, ottomans. And we love to help them choose a wallpaper that reflects their personal style.

What are you looking forward to showcasing next season?

We are launching Tabletop with fine china, crystal, flatware and linens this spring! Our Bridal registry is ready for all the brides who desire to set a beautiful table.

What do you love about working with Rowe?

We love working with Rowe because they see the small fish in the sea! We are small but Rowe treats us with respect and top notch customer service and care. We value our customers and making them feel seen and heard. We appreciate that Rowe also models this well.

What's the most memorable moment that has occurred in your shop?

The most memorable thing that has happened in my shop - one month after opening our account with Rowe, we participated in the Rowe swivel sale and had the largest volume of sales in that month! It was a great start and encouragement to our business!

Why is your location the perfect fit for your shop?

We needed a shop that offered fine furnishings and design. We are friendly and we work along side our customers to meet their design and furniture needs. If we do not have it, we can order it! Our community has been amazing to support us and refer others to come shop with us.

If we pop into your store at any given moment, what would we see?

We sell a lot of wallpaper! So fun! Wallpaper is a great way to express your personal style.

How does your shop make customers feel?

Fun, inspirational, preppy, cheerful. We love a neutral palette with a pop of color and pattern. We believe in reaching the 5 senses- taste (we always have a bowl of starburst candy, see-beautiful furniture/decor, smell-there is always a candle burning, touch-we invite customers to sit and feel the comfort of our upholster, hear - we love music! We always have fun, cheerful energizing music playing

What's on your store playlist?

We love Lake Street Dive but we also love the fun upbeat classics.
