Since opening in 2013 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Weekender House has evolved from a small 500 square foot storefront to a 4,000 square foot full-service design firm, with a second location in St Petersburg, Florida. A proud member of the Rowe family of retailers since 2016, Weekender House includes a beautiful furniture showroom as well as interior design services aimed at reflecting every client’s unique style and personality. With over two decades of industry experience, their team prides themselves on their ability to translate clients’ visions into reality, creating spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also deeply personal.

We love to help our clients with everything from subtle design enhancements to complete overhauls, while keeping the process fun!

How does your shop make customers feel?

Our customers often ask “Can I move in here???” as they walk through our showroom. The environment is relaxed and inspiring with an upscale coastal casual vibe.

What's on your store playlist?

Our eclectic mix keeps you guessing with everything from Lionel Richie to The Cure to Justin Timberlake…and everything in between!

What are you looking forward to showcasing next season?

We are looking forward to mixing in bold colors that blend beautifully with our tried-and-true neutrals. We also are loving the return of warmer wood tones.

What do you love about working with Rowe?

We love that Rowe is committed to eco-friendly manufacturing, and we love the wide array of fabric options they provide, especially the variety of performance fabrics. Rowe has frames that tend to really appeal to some of our younger clientele, who gravitate toward more current and stylized looks.

What's the most memorable moment that has occurred in your shop?

We celebrated our 10-year anniversary in 2023! We had an amazing party to celebrate with our loyal customers and had the best time! We are so grateful for all the love and support we’ve received over the last 10 years.

Why is your location the perfect fit for your shop?

We are so lucky to be located in the West End of historic Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Our coastal location inspires the blues and sea glass colors seen throughout our showroom in our furnishings, art, and accessories.

If we pop into your store at any given moment, what would we see?

We could be doing anything from rearranging one of our vignettes to sprinkling new accessories throughout the showroom — or popping a bottle of champagne for our customers!
